Our visits in the last year have been less frequent and the yard (trees, shrubs, herbs etc) was closing in on our couryard villa.

We called Rupert Cross...and are so glad we did. He arrived (later than he said but hey it's the villages, do we really need to hurry?), gave a fair estimate, and actually started the job right then. He and his crew of four did exactly what needed to be done, did it quite fast and did a MOST excellent job. What would have taken us many days was accomplished in a couple of hours. The cleaned up wonderfully at the end of the job.
It is very clear from the start that Rupert knows his business well. I will happily continue to use him.

P.S.....seems like a very peaceful soul....nice bonus.

I have used Rupert several times and he is good when he shows up. However a few cautions. He replaced my mulch and showed up with his trailer about half full and charged me for 10 yards. His trailer over flowing on all sides would only hold about 6 yards. When I asked about that, he said the place he bought it told him it was 10 yards. Maybe, but I doubt that. I had him replace 3 shrubs and he put ones in that looked like they were half dead. He said they would be fine in a couple weeks. However in about 6 weeks they were completely dead. Called him to replace and he never showed up. He came by about 6 months later and wanted to trim and re-mulch, but I declined.

Rupert is very knowledgeable, works well, but does believe you are not. He works when he needs to, not when you need him to.
