WOW! $360 to replace a 3-zone controller? You can do it yourself for about $40.

Sorry, retiredguy, I should have mentioned ACI is not cheap - after the pandemic their prices really went up. But since I learned how to control my irrigation including all heads and the rain gauge, and cleaning, I won’t need them again for a long time. But when they come out, they do a very good job and they stand behind their work.

Thanks.

One comment is that, if "cleaning" means flushing out the plastic sprinkler head filters, I have found that the best thing to do is to just throw them away. I never understood why you need a filter to protect a $2 sprinkler head. The sprinklers operate better without the filter.

I use Massey for lawn service. Contracted when I first got here for quarterly sprinkler maintenance. That was expensive enough. Then it seemed that every time they came out, they wanted to replace (Not just adjust) something. We finally cancelled and just call someone when something isn't working.

Watch a Hunter YouTube video and go to Ace in Wildwood. They will give you hands on training and advice. Most of the maintenance is simple
