Recently moved to The Villages and replaced the Hunter system with a Rachio 3.
I was pleased to see the developer had the wherewithal to run two additional zones from the garage to our irrigation box (ours were the brown and black lines, with the red, blue, yellow, and green being zones 1-4 respectively). I know I need to likely add a water hammer arrestor, backflow preventer, and pressure regulator to each as well as run the tubing around the yard and such, but I likely need help with creating the zones and double-checking the hookup. Can anyone recommend an independent contractor I can pay hourly to help me with this initial setup work? |

Not sure you’ll find anyone for small jobs. But…..
If you’re talking about drip irrigation, I’m sure you mean plants and shrubs. I also assuming that the home came with a “plant” zone and a few “grass” zones. If so, why not find the end of that “plant” irrigation tubing and extend it to the area(s) that you want to expand? Sounds easier and less expensive than setting up a whole zone. If it’s water quantity that’s a concern (hence the multiple zones), I’d recommend these adjustable heads that you can find on Amazon. It allows you to adjust the water output as well as turn the entire head off. Just an option….. |
