I must have a gazillion tons of river rock in my back and side yard. I decided to move it myself and put down pieces of synthetic turf just to break up the hardscape. An hour into it with my trusty shovel I had moved about two feet worth..and worn out!
Under the river rock is pea stone, under the p.s. is the black synthetic material. I don't want to dig into the synthetic material, except where I am planting bushes, trees, etc. Any ideas about what kind of a machine or company could push the stone so I could make three or four 'soft' spaces. Plan to use 8" nails to hold down the turf (per HGTV), and flagstone to keep the river rock from drifting back into the soft space. My dogs paws need a bit of a break from the river rock...and my barefeet too. Any help or ideas for this diy'er would be appreciated. I think my backyard is tilting the earth and causing global warming!!!!!!!!!! HELP |
