Water Bill

One thing I'd forgotten to put in my post #9 in that thread is the base amounts for each in addition to the per 1k gal. rates:

Water: $8.06
Irrigation: $5.40
Sewer: $11.49

In NY we pay for water
Basic Service including 4500 gallons $24
each add'l 1K is $1.25

Many here have septic tanks so no sewer tax on those homes, but average property taxes on Long Island are $7,000-$15,000 if you have sewer it's included.

So with property taxes here <$2,000 it's a breath of fresh air.

Gracie, Being a northener, I expect everything to grow with no problems, except for freezing. But here in Florida, I would think everything should grow with no problems, with all this beautiful sunshine. But not so!!!!! I have butterfly bush for over a year, that was given to me from Virginia. (It looks sad) I also fed it and keep watering, with not really good results. Today, I have two Crepe Myrtle Trees coming (12 ft each) from Fairfield Nursery to be planted in back yard. (275 bucks each). They are really two great quality trees, and I'm very happy with them. I will be giving "tender loving care" to these trees, until I see bird nests in them. hehehehe Anyway, I do know what you mean about some plants having problems, before they really get going. By the way, crepe mytles are watermelon red. Happy planting!!!

Oh how pretty..watermelon red crepe myrtles. Ours are lilac colored...can't wait to see them bloom. Jojo's mom gave me a butterfly bush and it took three years until it came into it's glory. Must not like to be transplanted...but it was bare roots. I love to mess about in the yard!

Plan on that 2k to be 3500+ And no VA exemptions unless your 100%
