Default New sod

We're leaning towards the purchase of a Patio Villa, I don't want the sod at all so I asked the salesmen if we could buy the house without sod for a credit.

He said they can't do it that way, it can be removed and replaced with stone or gravel after closing.

My question is if there is any market for the sod to be relocated, if so what might it be worth?

Just make sure to check the deed restrictions. I thought that courtyard villas were the only homes that were allowed to remove all of the sod. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that patio villas had to maintain a certain percentage of sod, just like cottage and designer homes do.

In any case, I can’t really answer your question about reselling the sod. But my best guess is that you wouldn’t get very much for it, if you could even find someone to buy it. Just my opinion...but as above, I add the caveat that "I could be wrong". lol
