Default No blooms on my oleander

My oleander which bloomed last year, was very frost damaged. After removing the dead wood in April, lots of new shoots have grown, but nary a bloom in sight. Is there some special fertilzer I should use? Appreciate any advice. Sandra

I believe the blooms form on last years growth, which you removed when damaged by frost. Look for blooms next year on this years growth.

We have had our Oleanders three years and this is the first year we noticed they were covered with caterpillars from the wasp moth and these caterpillars were eating the leaves. Not wanting to use insecticide we removed the catepilars by hand and placed them in a bucket of warm soapy water in order to destroy them. We have not had any blooms either and in our case it was due to the caterpillars.
