Question Onamental grass maintenance

I have pampas grass and another small ornamental grass. Should I be cutting them back at all? I don't remember seeing any others cut back anywhere, but am wondering. Thanks in advance!

You will need to cut back the pampas grass as it gets really crazy, out of hand. Our neighbors planted some in the back and I've noticed their's has been cut back a couple of times since Spring.
The smaller grass...if it cycles (dies) you might want to cut that back a bit too. Otherwise just leave it. You can always google "care of ornamental grass" and see what it says on the internet!!!

Usually when cool weather hit the Pampas Grass does turn brown. In Ark we always cut it back to about 12 inches from the ground. Then it would rebloom in spring. It can spread as it grows from year to year. You might check out the Twice On Tuesday Classes available at Sea Breeze. They are usually the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1 P.M., You do need to go the rec center to get your free ticket. They teach all sorts of things about southern plants, trees, grasses etc.
