From one Villager to another I would like to thank everyone for there post that they have made about our company here on "Talk of the Villages", it is very much appreciated. Now is the time to feed your palms for the last time this year, I tell all our customers to feed there palms no later then November 15th. You do not want to feed your palms in the winter months because any new growth that comes out from the crown of the tree during this time of the year is very tender, and can get hit from a freeze very easily. I recommend a good fertilizer such as Lesco 8-2-12 for feeding your palms, it is a very good feed. Be careful about what people tell you about taking care of your landscape plants and trees. I get calls every week from people that were told things that are not good for there plants and trees. Remember anyone can grab a shoval and dig a hole, or cut your grass and call themselves a landscaper and they have no horticultural backround what so ever. Just be careful, ask them questions, and rather then just taking there word for it have them show you proof. I recommend the same thing when you hire a landscapeing company, ask them questions and have them show you proof how long they have been in the landscape business, do they have workers comp so your not liable in case of an accident,do they have liability insurance, what kind of horticultural backround do they have "VERY IMPORTANT". I get a phone call every week or two from someone that has been taken advantage of, so just be careful and ask questions, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.
