Default Shrub removal?

I have a large holly bush that I would like taken down, don't need a landscaper just some strong backs and shovels. Need recommendations or I will give it to anyone that wants to dig it out. It is very nice just not what we want. Shaped like a Christmas tree.

We had a bottle brush we wanted taken out and called a couple of names in the services section of the Daily Sun. It seems that they don't want to dig it out instead they want to cut the tree off with a saw and then leave it up to you to have the stump ground down. This may be a problem if you plan to plant something in that spot. I'm no expert but just wanted to give you a heads up of what may happen.

The reason they do not want to dig them up is because it is labor intensive and hard work.

Another thing to consider, especially if the roots are close to the house.

Old rotting roots beneath the ground can be a termite magnet!

Put a chain around the base and pull out using a SUV. Did that all the time up north. Save your back and pulls the roots out.

Just be careful of all the irrigation pipes and utilities in the ground if you go that route.
