Default Sprinkle estimate?

My landscaper left a note that says Rt side turf Add 5 SRMs Add 2 F/S tips
Left side Add 6 SRMs Add 2 F/S tips
Estimate $500 Installed.
Can anyone translate this? I am thinking he wants to add some things to my irrigation system. If so what and why? Doesn't the builder provide an appropriate irrigation package?

It's a brand new house I made settlement less than a week ago sounds like a call to home warranty is in order.

The original sprinkler layout is not always optimum for your individual landscaping.

You sure need to have Home Warranty, to look at the situation. Especially, since its a brand new home. How does he know what's needed, if he didn't turn on sprinklers? Should not need maintenance, if you only been there a week or two!! Got to be careful of Landscapers (and others) who take advantage. Call Home Warranty, and get it straightened out!! Good Luck

Default sprinklers

The guy who came and cut out for the donuts had the sprinklers on then I left to go back to my rental place until the next day. I found the note on the door it was from Stellar but not the guy who cut out the donuts rather someone called the H2O supervisor.
I am wondering if they only put in X number of sprinklers regardless of lot size and leave it to the home owner to add. If that's the case then they shouldn't charge me such a steep lot premium! But I will call home warranty with this added to my ever increasing Looooong list of defects. Don't get me started!

I can't guarantee that things haven't changed since my home was built ('06), but I know the number of zones and/or heads on several homes' systems I've seen have been different enough for me to believe they customize the system to the lot and landscaping of each home. It certainly isn't a large enough item to scrimp on and get significant cost savings.

Call warranty and get the installers to come out and have them run the sprinklers while you are there so you can see what is going on and ask them questions. If Sloan installed your sprinklers I have found them to be very responsive and accommodating in resolving my issues..

BTW, if the home is new, did they provide you with a half hour face to face instruction at your home?
