Not for palm trees , but the 2 trees in the front need trimming

Perhaps, it would be wise to take pictures of the trees in question and discuss what you want to have done with the coopertive extension. It is a free service paid for with your tax money.
As to what to do, and also important when to do it, it depends on the type of tree. Any trimming, will cause the tree in an effor to heal to send out new branches to replace the ones you chose to cut off.
