You are correct with St Augustine except Zoysia grass does get damage when cut with a zero turn riding mower. Not looking to start an argument, just looking for a good walk behind mowing service that does not need to be prepaid.

We had the same problem with the riders. They would dig in on turns and on one side of the house the tires were always in a swale which damaged the grass from the constant tire tracks. We asked our present lawn guy to use walk behind mowers a couple of years ago. End of problem. We too have Zoysia.

if you have not found someone we use Jim Sampiere he does our lawn and also our shrub trimming and weeding. He is honest and priced well his number is 203-231-7630
