Smile What's needed for hedge trimming?

Being that it has been so cold lately and my hedge hasn't been trimed, will I need to wear an overcoat and ski-cap for trimming?

No. You can get your hedge trimmed and stay warm and toasty inside your house by using what I've found to be an extremely useful tool - - - - - - - - the telephone!

Not if you load your hedges into a large truck, take them down to the Florida Keys, unload them, trim them, reload them, bring them back and set them back into where you took them out.

Although it will take a bit longer, you could alternately just wait another week or two then trim them!

No need to thank me for the advice! It was all my pleasure to provide it.

Thanks everyone for the great advice (I just got back from the Florida Keys. Phew!)

I went out yesterday at about 6 pm. and did a little trimming. It was nice at that time. My Firebush did not freeze completely so I'm cutting it back to about 4 feet; it's putting out new leaves.

One hedge in front, inside my patio-villa fence, is overgrown. So I think I will use my telephone as Bill suggested. Although, I might need to sharpen it first?
