Any idea where this was lost, the villages is 75 square miles? Also, while this might seem silly, please carefully check around your car and inside, I have accidently dropped a key between the driver's seat and the center consol.

Would you be able to get another from Subaru if you give them the VIN?

Try to narrow down the area you might have lost it. Then go around the area and knock on business doors. Check with the rec centers, local and regional. Check with the police, and post office.

To the OP: Tuesday was not August 27 and, as others have pointed out, the Villages is a big place so please narrow things down just a little.

While this won't help the OP, Apple AirTags came into our life when we discovered what it cost to replace the key that we lost. A $25 tag on the keychain will hopefully save us $$$$ in the future.

I like the idea of contacting Subaru for a replacement, you will probably need to bring sufficient documentation that you actually own the car, and i am sure the replacement will not be cheap. You can also check with the local locksmith, but my understanding is that they can DUPLICATE a key, they may not be able to replace a key.

Affordable Lock, 352-259-8820, in Lady Lake will handle the paperwork and replace the key for about $300, depending on the model. It may take up to 3 days for the paperwork to be approved, and they need the vehicle to program the key.
