Talking Ponder this . . .

Walking and Beer

A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Makes you kind of proud to be an American doesn't it?

All in fun.

If a 12 oz. regular beer has about 150 calories, I see no great harm in drinking one beer per day, assuming you don't graduate to Alcoholism. However, with 2 beers we're talking 300 calories and that could be the beginning of building a beer-belly. A beer-belly means the person can't take the extra calories. Too many calories from beer displace healthier whole foods.

Note: Beer is a processed food so it's off my list.
