I have always been skeptical about Acupuncture, and I am not sure if it is funded by Medicare or not, but I don't think it should be. Does anyone know?

I cannot find anything to convince me that pushing small needles into the epidermis could help with pain or with relaxing.

I really personally don't go with most alternative medicine and like M.D.s who have trained in the U.S.

I am big on good nutrition and exercise.

I practice good nutrition and someday I am going to exercise.

Those with no experience really can only offer their opinion. Which OP is looking for personal experience. Some consider processed foods cause for many health issues, others find that prescription drugs cause for issues.

After all when you were in Medical school the “do no harm” was your daily motto. But to understand if you can’t help your patient, you may offer something that is not in your wheelhouse to potentially improve your patient’s wellbeing

It would be best to email, since any treatment can vary.

After more than 10 years with issues from chemotherapy, no physician has been able to help with my issues, and I have had the ability to use many within my scope of many years in medical. One of our closest physicians friends recommended acupuncture. My spouse worked with many physicians who highly recommended acupuncture

As he said nothing we have done is working, so let’s try something else. I am getting great relief from acupuncture, for the first time of years of physical therapy, prescription drugs, with zero help. My PC, Ortho, Oncologist, and physical therapist, are extremely impressed with my results.

Since not everyone may have the same results, sometimes it’s worth a try rather than do nothing

I was offering my opinion, Doctor.

To the O.P. Best wishes on your search.

The physical issue I have is not curable with traditional medicine. And I don't think acupuncture will cure it. I just wanted to try and see if acupuncture could lessen the symptoms.

I have severe neuropathy from Chemotherapy. Either it goes away quickly, lessens a small percentage, or continues to progress. Really had given up on ever have feelings in extremities.

But after 4 sessions, I started to get results, and is improving with each session. Am I cured, no but any improvement is good.
What will happen later I have no idea, but right now this is the best results in 7 years. Trust me if a method was available I tried it, hoping even a small amount of feeling would return.
