Just looking around for a good opthamologist. The UHC website is marginal at best. Besides, I'd like someone who can say "yes, he/she is a good doc". Thanks.

Mid Florida Eye up on 441. I have the same insurance as the OP.

Same insurance, use Dr Charles at Mid Florida Eye. He specializes in cataracts, so call them and ask who would be best for your issue.

I was diagnosed 10 years ago or so the AMD (macular degeneration) and the only doc I'll see is Dr. Michael Tolentino at 352-751-9999. While he is in the Lange Eye Institute building he has his own practice. I also have UHC.

Dr Jodie Armstrong at Ocala Eye, which is in the Laurel Manor doctors park. I have had a number of eye problems in the past that need regular checks and she is wonderful.

My Doctor for next Tuesday is Freddie Fudpucker. He was highly regarded. This Cataract thing is worse than snakes, gators and sink holes and seat savers and line dancers combined. To say I'm concerned is putting it lightly. I'll keep an EYE out for you and report back next week. Take Care and Good Luck.
