Caloric intake eventually leads to diets. Most diets are fad diets and they do not work. How do we know they o not work? Because experts come out with eight new diets every year. Still not enough proof then ask yourself why celebrities making big money doing commercials for diets end up gaining back their weight?

Caloric intake is necessary for survival. Acel Keys in the 1950's pushed the saturated fat causes heart attack agenda. It is now said that his study was deeply flawed and nutritionist have known it for some time.

Another study suggests that people over 65 need protein and so suddenly beef is in for them again...and yes I know protein exists in other than meat products.

I do not desire to debate these studies because that's not my point.

My point is that experts keep tricking us up.

My personal view is to eat what I like. I also do not want to over eat so when i reach my comfort level I stop.

I also refrain from too many sugar products. I especially have eliminated soda pop

Moderation in all things was one of the many good Greek admonitions.
