Can someone offer a good recommendation, for recurring chronic sinusitis and recurring nosebleeds?
Thanks in advance

I had chronic sinusitus. I visited Lake ENT many times, and they kept popping me full of antibiotics. Didn't solve the problem.
I went to another ENT (now retired, sorry) and he ended up diagnosing that the opening from my sinuses to drain were "tiny" and that kept mucus and infectrious stuff bottled up. He did an out-patient surgery (can't recall the name of it) and VOILA, never had a sinus infection in 10 years now. Good luck. |

Maybe go to Costco and buy their Flonase and try that out first. Hope it helps.

Let me start by saying, I am not in the medical profession. That said, I had terrible sinuses. Went to several doctors but found no relief. One day, I noticed a saline cleaner on the shelves in Walgreens. Since it was only saline, I decided to try it. With the pump provided, you squeeze the saline solution into both nostrils. I gave myself a thorough cleaning and noticed results within a day. I cleansed the inside of my nose once a week until I had no solution packets remaining. It worked wonders for me. Years later, I can happily say my nose is never stuffed. But, please, consult your physician before trying. As I stated, I am not in the medical profession.

Revising my original request. (THANKS for the advice so far.)
I'm really wanting to find a GOOD practitioner. ... who is accessible. I just requested an appointment from the last guy I saw and was given a date 2 months from now. I already use Flonase at night and Zyrtec in the morning. The combination has worked well for a couple of years, but congestion and inflammation has returned. Add to that a weak spot resulting from "roto-rooter" surgery some years ago, which easily ruptures into spontaneous nosebleeds, and I'm not keen on waiting 2 months to see an ENT. BTW. Thanks Margaret. But a gentle saline spray just awhile ago broke that weak spot and left me with yet another nose bleed. I can't imagine what the machine might do.

If you don't /need/ to take aspirin for medical reasons, but have been taking it anyway, stop taking it. |

I have allergies that cause nosebleeds and sinusitis. Anytime I start coughing and waking up with a stuffed head, I know it’s time to throw out my bed pillows. Dust mites develop and I have to get new pillows about every two years.
