Now, there is a difference between a co-pay and co-insurance.

Very few of our Medicare patients have a specialist copay. But it is quite common with commercial insurances (employer provided)... And it is typically $30-$50...

But almost ALL Medicare patients have the 20% co-insurance, that is typically picked up their co-insurance... Often only after their deductible has been satisfied...
Our medicare advantage plan gives us $ 5 copay for specialists in their network with no cost to us to see our family physician.

That's an advantage plan. My practice does not see many of those...

Like I said, most have the 20% they are responsible for that is picked up be another insurance...

I had a bad cough & went to urgent care. Got the test for COVID & upper respiratory infection. COVID was negative. Positive for upper respiratory. Dr. Said it’s going around & some have had the cough for 6 weeks. I know several peopl3 who have had it here.

And to think even our (usually reluctant to "jump the gun") president told us Covid is OVER, and yet, just listen to all the people on here ! Really upsetting to try to find out who the real "liars" are ? Paxlovid ? Thought that was "out" ? Hard to keep up and who is saying what .. LOL !
