Default Cough and Sore Throat

I had a doctors appointment scheduled, or I probably would not have tested... thinking it WAS just a cold... so they tested for Covid and the Flu.... surprise, surprise, I had the new strand of COVID.... 5 day quarantine from the beginning of symptoms, as long as no fever the last 2 days.

If you are eating later in the evening, it may be Acid Reflux. Tagament works well to control it. Also, avoid eating starting 3 hours before bedtime

Default Yes, COVID is going around.

Yes, COVID is going around. Three of us in my neighborhood are just getting over is after a samba game where one of us had a dry cough and a bit of a sore throat. Take a test. If positive, my advice is to take Paxlovid.

I adore him - both the doctor/diagnostician and human being we had such a lovely conversation when I was there for a small issue. A very good doctor. Highly recommend.

Good grief, emergency rooms are for emergencies. It's in the name. You don't go to an emergency room for a sore throat, that you've had for weeks. You go to your doctor, or urgent care...... if you suspect covid go to a drive up window at Walgreens or CVS, so you don't spread it to others at the doctor's office or urgent care.

I've had this off and on since March. Nothing really bad, just annoying. Pollen is pretty bad this year: my wife cleans the glass-topped table in our lanai each evening and invariably the paper towel has a greenish-gray tint once she's done. Getting less now.

I chalk it up to allergies. I spent a few days in Minnesota during the first week in April and the symptoms totally disappeared, only to re-appear when I got back.

The one covid test tests for all strains of covid?

My husband and I have had a nagging cough with nasal congestion for the past 2 weeks. COVID negative. No fever. Seen by a doc. Antibiotics aren’t helping.

Is this an urgent care, or is he a primary care physician?
