Been in Florida most of life, so can't be change of environment ! Maybe some kind of mosquito spray ? Who knows. Never had reaction to golf course chemicals in my life, so just can't figure this out !
Reduction in taste is a classic strange symptom of COVID. Check it out by getting tested because you don't want to infect others.

Welcome to the worst part of allergy season in Florida. Since moving from Pennsylvania, where allergies were seasonal, I now suffer from year around allergies at sometimes worse than others. Coughing has been worse for about a week. With it comes a sore throat and headache. Thank goodness for cough drops.

Softball77, I’ve had a nagging dry cough that’s been nagging me for a couple of months now, especially at bedtime or when I lay down. I have no idea why. I just put up with it.

Don't go to ER or Urgent Care. Get and take a Covid test. If positive make an appointment with primary doctor.

Get a test, at least that will confirm, or not one possibility for your symptoms.
My husband and I had Covid at the end of last summer. I had the Covid cough that lingered. My husband discovered if I drank more it would help. I drank water and green tea and it helped quite a bit. And I talked less.

Thank you.
My wife was advised to drink more, and I will tell her about Green Tea.
Must say talking less has been the added bonus!

JM beat me to the "pre-law" quote

I hope the OP has seen a professional. Since I suggested it, the AAAP crowd (American Association of Amateur Physicians) has chimed in with allergies, COVID, reflux esophagitis and ARDS as well as some very specific pharmaceutical recommendations. Heck, in April 2009 my brother had the same symptoms, went to urgent care in TV twice 10 days apart, was given azithromycin both times, then returned to NY and got a proper diagnosis---He died of metastatic carcinoma of the lung in October. Forty years experience in internal Medicine and I wouldn't even consider floating a differential diagnosis, much less treatment recommendations based on the OP. Perhaps that means I should trade in my ABIM board certification and professorship at the University of New York for that membership in AAAP

Not exactly. Was premed until I changed to economics.

However will say in grad school took a course in contract law and got an A, so I can say that I can talk in legal terms knowing a bit of what I am saying. Which in some cases might be more than some lawyers.
