Default Dementia lost of memory versus leaded gasoline

Been reading up on dementia several studies, videos, and leaded gasoline IMO seems to be common denominator? Especially the study on children teeth from Egyptian era vs 60/50’s? 1000 times more lead in teeth and bones? I’m suspecting all of us born up 70s has high level of lead in our bones and highly subjective to higher rate of dementia?

Does lead exposure lead to dementia?
AI Overview
Yes, lead is a neurotoxin and research indicates it can cause or increase the risk of dementia and related memory problems later in life, particularly through childhood exposure. Studies show people exposed to higher levels of lead, especially in childhood from sources like leaded gasoline, were more likely to experience memory issues as adults. Lead may leave a lasting imprint on the brain, leading to neurodegenerative changes and cognitive decline.

One of many on internet. Something not good looking forward IMO for us baby boomers and older? Especially us who worked close to chemicals with lead. Leaded gas was banned in 1996 other than gasoline produced with lead in piston driven airplane gas otherwise known as AvGas. Non ethanol gasoline at pump(if you can find it) contains NO lead.

I fail to see how exams of bones from Egypt 2000 years ago could yield any info regarding dementia since there is no comparable record of dementia, or longevity from that era.

It would seem that a better study would be to compare dementia rates of persons of the current era and relating to their lead absorption rate.

As far as those of us who were exposed to lead already, it is as it is. A former boss was 55 and had dementia and his life ended early. Why do persons not exposed to lead get dementia?

Perhaps (probably) lead has an impact, but there are perhaps many other items involved in the issue. White matter lesions in the brain (revealed by MRI) record our life's journey through injury, illness, operations as well as damage by toxic items. Some people have more white matter lesions than others. Perhaps a link to environmental cause of dementia.

White Matter Lesions: What Are They and When Are They a Problem?

And then there is heredity?

Well something causing it more and more IMO lead prime suspect? ? Where did I say it was cause? I suspect it from people I knew over 60 years.

Did you watch video? No data maybe cause dementia didn’t exist in Egyptian times due to they didn’t live long enough?

Was comparing lead levels in bones. 1000 times higher. 1000 times! lead don’t leave body, couple that with mercury who who knows what other chemicals in industry age?

I remember some bosses/friends when growing up working/owning gas stations or fuel oil type businesses. From inhaling leaded gasoline fumes and exhaust they all died before or in their 60’s. Maybe they died before dementia set in? I have one friend left that owned has station since he was 30, he’s 75 and looks like death at his door step. I’ll see as he ages if dementia sets in before he’s 80?
