Default Cataract Surgery

Would appreciate hearing of your experience with Dr. Ireland or Dr. Zeini for cataract surgery.

If you don't mind my asking, what type of procedure (laser vs invasive incisions) and what type of implants did you receive? I went to Mid-Florida over a year ago for examination and consultation, and I have an appointment with Dr. Ireland later this month for another opinion.
Medicare and my supplemental policy don't cover what was recommended (ranging from $600-$6000, depending on the procedure and implant). Dr. Ireland's pricing seems to be comparable to Mid-Florida's.

Dr. Zeini did my cataract surgery before he had lazer and I am very happy with it and him.

FYI, laser assist does not eliminate any incisions.

My cataract 'procedures' we're done by Dr. Ireland. She is excellent along with her staff and facilities...also can't beat the location in LSL.

I agree. She did my surgery and I was pleased with the outcome and the caring staff that I met with during every step in the process.

Dr. Ireland will be doing my cataracts first week of January, so I'm loving all the happy comments. Must admit, I'm a little nervous.

Kathie.......Dr Zeini told me that cataract surgery is the safest surgery done in this country. It's still hard to be not nervous but believe me it was a piece of cake.

Part of the cataract meds prescriptions should be a couple of Valiums.
They told me that i'd be "on vacation".
It worked.

I was extremely nervous before my cataract surgery in September,.
Even though I had friends who previously had the surgery tell me "It was a piece of cake".
I made my Surgeon aware of my nervousness. I was offered relaxing Meds as soon as I arrived at the hospital.
It really was easy peasy.
