I am having trouble finding a dentist. Does anyone have any comments on Aspen Dental?

I used to use Village Dental, stopped using them when I was there for a cleaning and their tech put some antibiotics in to my gums, and all of a sudden a cleaning went to over $400.00

I don't mind paying for service, but don't surprise me .without telling me first.

They did $30000.00 worth of caps --but the cleaning was the last $$ they'll ever see from me

Went to Aspen Dental as they indicated I could get a regular cleaning.

Long story short, they did all kinds of diagnostic tests and then referred me to a periodontist for a deep cleaning. Cost is approx $640.

They gave me an estimate saying I needed several teeth pulled and two new bridges. The old one is fine. Cost $3,000 but out of the goodness of their hearts, $2,000.

Never went back. Nuff said..........

I like Dr. Jerkins in Fruitland Park. doesn't recommend anything that doesn't need to be done. I go for cleanings twice a year. no waiting, efficient staff, in and out.

It's just plain wrong not to warn you about the periodontal pocket antibiotics treatments ahead of time. I've learned my lesson about neglecting my teeth when it comes to cleaning.

How about Lifetime Dentistry on 441 near Lowes? We went there today and there were quite a few people in their waiting room. Does anyone recommend them?

My doctor recommended Dr. Richard Walter to me. His office is at 1501 US-441, Suite 1302, Lady Lake. I have an appointment with him in August. If you go on the internet, you will see great reviews for him.

I now use Dennis Davis for all my work, even though he specializes in periodontics. also Dr. Ghazal for root canals.

I second the recommendation for Dr. Jerkins in Fruitland Park. I first saw him as an emergency and he took care of that without requiring any additional workup. Whenever I've needed some work, he always gives options. When I had a tooth that needed extraction, he told me he could take care of it, but preferred to send me to an oral surgeon because it could get complicated. And it did. Staff is friendly and appear to work well together.
