Default Dr. Judith Milstead ENT

Daughter Helene has had a clogged salivary gland for the last three weeks and the oral surgeon feels she needs to be seen by an ENT.He suggested Dr. Nadenik but I see he is an osteopath and I don't have any experience with an osteopath.

I see Dr.Milstead was educated at University of Mississippi and interned at Shands.

Any comments or suggestions or experiences with ENTs here about?

Helene always has to have an anesthetic consult because of a condition that can cause malignant hyperthermia, so that is a worry too.

I have what Helene has. Painful.
It can be relieved by antibiotic plus expressing fluid manually, and warm compresses.
Also looking for local ent.
In Gainesville, ann Glowasky is fabulous ent.
Who is the surgeon, and does heshe do ballon procedure?

There is only one oral surgeon's office that I know locally and that is Dr. Caylor and Dr. Rosario. (Across from Laurel Manor, near Paws) We went three times and he didn't do any procedure. The dentist we originally consulted (couldn't see our own doctor on the day the lump occurred) ...anyhow the dentist prescribed the antibiotic and sent us to the oral surgeon.

I have had a clogged salivary gland several times, Helene's is the sublingual, mine was the parotid. Mine would burst open eventually and that would be the end of that episode.

Have not had any personal experience with Dr Milstein but she was highly recommended to us by several people. She isn't on our insurance, that's why I didn't use her. Went to Dr Grayson of Ocala ENT, that whole office we thought was excellent.

I sent you a PM.

Dr. Milstead is wonderful. Took care of me when I had thyroid cancer and she removed my thyroid. I highly recommend her.
A very smart woman in her field !!

I also would recommend Dr. Milstead, she treated me for serious case of vertigo a few years back.

If you go to Lake ENT, insist on Dr Milstead. They have other Drs there as well......insist on Dr Milstead.
