Lately I've been noticing my left ear does not hear as well as my right, and I'm occasionally having trouble picking up my wife's voice in a crowded or background noise environment. I have a modest background in hearing conservation & thus knew I wanted to be seen by a real audiologist, not some wanna-be with 2 years of training or less. TOTV comments helped guide me.

I made an appointment with HearUSA (Dr. Danielle Rosier, Au.D.) in Brownwood for last Friday, and was truly impressed by the comprehensive exam I received. She uses the latest technology to evaluate hearing and ear health from several perspectives, was both pleasant and professional, and (important to me) on time. While I don't yet require hearing aids, I came away with the strong sense that she's an expert here as well. She has a handout showing "assistive listening" system locations in and around The Villages.

She also gives FREE monthly seminars on hearing health at Lady Lake Public Library, the 1st Wed. of each month (e.g. tomorrow, 9/2) at 1:30. Topics vary each month, but tomorrow's is "Listening Strategies With or Without Hearing Aids". I know I can benefit! Finally, she can help set you up for a free amplified phone if you have a certified hearing loss. I had no idea such a program existed.

I agree with everything that was said and more. She is an excellent audiologist with great credentials. She is a very caring person and goes out of her way to help. She answers questions and makes sure you understand what is happening. We are lucky that she is here. Also Kelly who runs the office is wonderful. It's a great office.
