I received first dose of Moderna yesterday at the Sumter DOH site. My appointment was made by the DOH from the list set up by GMR. I was one of the very next people appointed to get a vaccine through GMR when they ran out of vaccine doses. So Sumter DOH did pick up right where GMR had stopped. We just now received the opportunity from GMR for my wife to sign up for her first dose. She was on the GMR appointment list ( not the registration list) just a day or two after my original appointment with GMR. She is now appointed with GMR again, but for tomorrow and March 4. So they are apparently going in order of original registration.

When she made it, the return e-mail also gave her the date and time for the second dose. Just like the first time before doses ran out. She did not re- register . The needles used on every video on TV shows them using a needle that should be used on a horse. About two inches long. Doesn't bother me but put a scare into the wife. The needles also appear to be thick. Glad to hear that in reality, the needles are normal. She gets a shot every month so this should be old hat to her.

The website has 2 Steps. Step 1 to register and Step 2 to make an appointment. I think the Step 1 code has 5 digits and the Step 2 code has 6 digits. So, I don't think you can actually make an appointment with a 5 digit code. You can only do Step 1, which is to use the 5 digit code to register and get on the waiting list.
