Default Hospital Tour?

My cousin is going to be renting in TV for September and October. He can't wait except for the fact, he's going alone - and he's afraid if he medical attention, what he would do. (I already told him he's going to leave 10 years younger, so don't worry) - Is there such a thing as touring the hospitals there?

Yes, you can call the Villages hospital and request a tour. Also Munroe in Ocala has regular scheduled tours. There are often lectures given here in The Villages by different specialists. All the lectures I have attended have been excellent.

thanks, mudder & villager......I'm surprised there weren't more responses. I would think people would check these things out either before moving there or when they get there. I'm just inquiring for a short-term renter, but when I move there, I'm definitely going to check out the facilities that are in the area instead of waiting till something happens and I have no choice.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback! A big help!

Unhappy

Touring a hospital doesn't tell you how good a hospital is, it just shows you how pretty it is & The Villages Hospital sure is pretty. They should have saved money on all the furnishings and spent it on nurses. My 85yo mother has been an inpatient twice and we have both had ER visits, all horrible experiences. I was a surgical floor nurse for 17 years and after my mom had surgery I couldn't even visit her one day because it made me so upset seeing all the things they were doing subpar. I complained to all the right staff members w/o success. The next time we will be going to Leesburg Regional Med Center.
