Default How in the world do you find a doctor at TV?

Have bronchitis tried to get into doctor around Villages - told I have to have an enrollment meeting first before I can get an appt. in Villages Health Care which would be mid-April when we will return to Ohio (here for 5 months). Told to go to urgent care!! Has does this system work and are there any recommendations out there for a doctor who is not in system. Very frustrating especially when we have private insurance. Thanks for letting me vent.
P.S. Villages Health e-mailed me their 18 page form for me to fill out - yikes.

Urgent care is your best option. There are many excellent Urgent Care centers and doctors staffing them. You do have to go thru the standard procedures to be seen at Villages Health Care system. This is a perfect example of why people should get a doctor before they need one.

I think you'll find most doctors in The Villages requires you to have this "meet and greet" meeting to establish as a new patient. Urgent Care is your best bet if you are ill and are not a patient of someone.

Urgent care for bronchitis. Florida is different than where we came from. Otherwise it's thru word of mouth. THEN you'll fill out paperwork for "said doctor"...and have the "meet and greet" but you'll be treated "if" you have any medical issues.

Go to a doctor outside of TV.

I am a full time resident in TV but my internist is located on the southern outskirts of Leesburg. It's a drive...about 16 miles from where I live in The Village of Buttonwood...but worth it since I now have a doctor who is honest, cares about me, is thorough, and gives me all the time I need to address my questions and concerns.

I did not have to fill out an 18 page form and was able to schedule an appointment promptly.

FYI...he was recommended to me by an Urgent Care Doctor at Paramount Urgent Care, Dr. Proud. She is no longer there but was a wonderful doctor whom I respected and trusted and am so glad I followed her recommendation.

My doctor's name is Dante Nuzzo. Look him up!

I second this. He's in the medical offices across from the TV hospital.
