Default Alternatives to Implants?

Is there any Dentists out there, that have alternatives to implants, or is implants the only solution?? Talking mostly lower front teeth.

Just had Dr. Jerkins (Fruitland Park - Route #441) do my lower front. Very pleased with his denture solution for four teeth.

Maybe it would be a good idea if you shared what procedure he did!

I honest to gosh went to a man named Dr. Fillinger, but Jerkins tops that.

Had a permanent bridge with a snap-in partial for years. Sorry can't recommend a Villages area dentist...but it sounds as if you need that other opinion from a professional rather than TOTV. Some advtsmnts in the Daily Sun indicate dentists who offer free second opinions.

I believe most dentists at this point are suggesting implants because they are so close to real. My dentist told me my options were a partial or implants. Had a retainer as a kid and said there is no way I'm putting that piece of plastic in the roof of my mouth again! But that is just one person's opinion.

Pru you are right. I chose to go with the implants even though I could buy a small car for what they cost for 3. I had one with Dr. Caylor three weeks ago and it went very well. No bleeding all done under anesthesia and I am almost ready to get my crown put on. Looking forward to having that tooth back.

He extracted four lower teeth and replaced them with dentures --- far less expensive than implants or bridges.

gomoho - I believe they are also being recommended because dentists stand to make much more $$ from them than bridges and partials! I guess they earn that $$ based on the work some have done on friends of mine! My opinion ? - my gut and the dentist I pay for theirs!
