Default Portable oxygen concentrator/generator?

Does anyone have a portable oxygen concentrator/generator? If so, would you mind telling me where you bought it?

I called the supplier that services our home oxygen unit and it will cost way too much to rent a portable generator. (I think they said $275 a week). I am not against buying one, if I can find a reputable place that sells them at, a hopefully, reasonable price. Main thing is reputable.

Hello, I have a portable Sequal Eclipse Oxygen Concentrator for sale. It comes with an AC Power adaptor and a DC Power adaptor (for car), 1 Battery, Portable rolling cart, tubing and carrying case for power adaptors. The unit was used for 2 hour flight and 4 nights, less than 50 hours of usage. It was purchased from 1st Class Medical Inc., on October 3, 2011 for $2695.00. It came with a 3 yr. warranty so there is approx. 1 1/2 years left on warranty. I am asking $2200.

I don't know if your insurance covers you but I live in Illinois and found the best equipment and prices with corner medical out of Rochester MN. They work with Mayo Clinic and there is a Mayo Clinic a few hours from TV. I did everything by phone and they shipped the unit, I have the very small airsep unit.

Have you checked with your insurance? Medicare will not cover but most others will. Medicare will supply for a vacation/trip, I believe. If you can obtain, stay away from American Home Patient; terrible service when equipment fails...one month to correct is unacceptable. I now use New Aire out of Eustis, very pleased!

All previous posters (starflyte1, phefferon, rickg, folksarenuts, rn1tv):

Whether you are still using oxygen or are getting rid of your O2 concentrator, I hope that you are aware of The Villages Airheads, A COPD Support Group, whose members use and are deeply familiar with O2 equipment.

I am VP of this group and we can help you in almost any and every way, whether it be finding a new pulmonologist, new equipment or disposing of either!

I'm happy to accept your PM.
