Default Lasik eye surgery

My husband is wanting to have Lasik eye surgery to correct his vision. Has anyone here had this done? Needing recommendations. Also looking for an optometrist. Thanks.

My opthomologist didn't recommend it for my age. He said it wouldn't last.

My wife and I go to Mid Florida Eye Center. I had the tests for Lasik and Dr Charles told me I wasn't a candidate because I had cataracts starting. My wife had the same tests and was told that she needed cataract surgery. She had the laser surgery with the variable lenses put in and couldn't be happier. She can see like she was a kid again, up close and distant. Depending on your age, the cataracts might need to be tested first, but either way it's awesome.

My wife and I both had lasik done many, many years ago.

I wore glasses forever....could not remember when I did not...until lasik. Did not need any from the minute I left the surgery.

My wife literally had coke bottle thick lenses. Same reaction....no more glasses when leaving the office.
Fast forward many, many years. We both had our cataracts removed 2 years ago. Just like a refresh of the lasik results.

Outstanding results.
No glasses needed.

If you go to the right specialist they will be the first to advise whether you are a good candidate for the procedure.

We used St. Lukes in Lake Sumter Landing. Dr. Ireland is in a class by herself!!!

It is inevitable that we will all one day be told: You have cataracts.
So, absolutely, confer with a surgeon that has experience doing both procedures.

I had it done about 15 years ago. It's great. I had it done in Tampa by Dr. Prado....he did Wade Boggs so I figured he must be good.
