Mr 07 recently had back surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). With an early report time and long ride, we decided to stay in a nearby hotel the night before and I wanted to be close by for his first night in the hospital.

There is a brand new (April 2016) Hampton Inn literally a block from the main entrance to the hospital. With an AARP discount, it worked out to $125/night (including taxes and a $15/night parking fee). Hampton's are always predictable and this one was clean, modern, and convenient.

Just something to keep in mind if you ever find yourself in the same situation.
