Hello - My husband's neurologist has recommended IDD therapy for his sciatica. It sounds promising, but the protocol requires three sessions a week for six weeks. He is looking for feedback from individuals who have gone through this therapy. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Suzy |

speaking from experience, i can't speak highly enough of dr payman of spine intervention specialists...i was offered IDD as an option, and i tried it and it never worked for me...i was then referred to see dr. payman and with his evaluation and treatment literally took my pain away without surgery...i owe it to him for returning me back to my normal quality of life. its worth a consult with him....

IDD therapy is a joke not effective for the out of pocket payment
hanging upside down from a closet would be more effective.. note IF IT ISNT COVERED BY INSURANCE IT ISNT A VALID THERAPY |

No effect of traction in patients with low back pain: a single centre, single blind, randomized controlled trial of Intervertebral Differential Dynamics Therapy® - Springer
Single study, patients all received conservative graded activity therapy. Half were given IDD treatments with the recommended increasing weights, the other half were put into the same machine but not given increasing weights just a very low weight. There was no benefit to the IDD therapy on any of the examined outcomes. Cannot find any other similar blind outcome studies. The manufacturer has produced data showing that after one year patients are better, but there is no control data. |
