IMHO, there is nothing wrong with requiring proof that an individual meets the criteria for the treatment. I would bet there are people who seek the treatment as a prophylaxis treatment.

There are people who buy horse dewormer from Rural King. of COURSE there are people who seek experimental antibody infusions rather than the FDA-approved vaccine.

So I am guessing that the answer to my question is "no". I had the treatment. They did not require proof of a positive test. I was exposed and that was good enough for the treatment.

OK, how much is "many"? Please provide data.

That’s what I figured. Good to know what is what.

My question is - is anyone in the medical profession monitoring this, or does our info come from politicians and/or anecdotal testimonials? Who is keeping the stats?

So if we save money by reducing the number of people getting the treatments my taxes will go down?

I would not recommend that someone get the 4 shot treatment without a compelling reason to do so. Many medicines have side effects. You only want to take medicines when the pros outweigh the cons.

Treatment at the movie theater at Brownwood?

It is my understanding that people can go there if they have Covid or have been exposed to someone who has the virus? If so, I don’t understand why it would be allowed at a public square where these same people who go for treatment spill out to the square putting so many other people at the square at risk? Would it not be safer for EVERYONE if this clinic was held at one of the larger Rec centers?
I have no plans to play Russian Roulette by going anywhere near that square. I know it’s my choice, so I will stay away….if businesses are smart, they will start requiring everyone coming in to wear masks because this is not going to stop until we start getting smart. A third variance of COVID-19 is coming to a theater near you…..

intravenous infusion is strongly recommended

This is from the FDA Fact Sheet
For treatment, intravenous infusion is strongly recommended. Subcutaneous injection is an alternative route of administration when intravenous infusion is not feasible and would lead to delay in treatment.

So I guess it is not feasible to do intravenous infusion?

Agreed. For me, at this point, I have zero intention of getting this treatment.

We have discussed this already. Please read from the read beginning. Nobody is “spilling out onto the square”.

Monoclonal Antibody Therapy | Florida Department of Health COVID-19 Outbreak

Monoclonal antibody treatments can prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death in high-risk patients who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19. These treatments are widely available in Florida.

* Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter. If you are 12 years and older and are at high risk for severe illness due to COVID-19, you are eligible for this treatment.
* In clinical trials, monoclonal antibody treatment showed a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death.
* For high-risk patients who have been exposed to someone with COVID19, Regeneron can give you temporary immunity to decrease your odds of catching the infection by over 80%.

Such a thorough answer and yet you don't even answer the question...WHEN can someone go?

They must test positive and or have symptoms!

All those heroics for nothing

DeSantis is vaccinated and has pushed people to get vaccinated. He also made it available to people over 65 first who were the hardest hit with COVID when all this started. Please provide quotes where he has told people not to get vaccinated as they don’t exist. Here is a quote from him, “So here’s, I think, the most important thing with the data: if you are vaccinated—fully vaccinated—the chance of you getting seriously ill or dying from COVID is effectively zero,” DeSantis said. “If you look at the people who are being admitted to hospitals, over 95 percent of them are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all. These vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality.”

Also, how about stopping with the false conspiracy nonsense for a treatment that works! Does Fauci have stock in the company?
“We want people out there, including physicians as well as potential patients, to realize the advantage of this very effective way of treating early infection," Dr. Fauci said. "Clinical trials have demonstrated that early treatment with anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies can reduce the risk of COVID-19 hospitalization or death by 70 [percent] to 85 percent."

If you consider Fauci to be a politician I guess the answer is yes! “We want people out there, including physicians as well as potential patients, to realize the advantage of this very effective way of treating early infection," Dr. Fauci said. Florida has done much better than many other states with deaths per capita. Much better to be here than in places like NY, NJ, and 13 other states per the latest data. • U.S. COVID-19 death rate by state | Statista
