A recent study put the risk of hospitalization for VACCINATED people at 1 out of 5,000. For an area like TV Land that has a HIGH percentage of vaccinations the risk is EVEN LESS - 1 out of 10,000. And YES.......I read about this study in the NY Times, which some (MANY) will immediately say, "it's just a commie, lib, radical, hippy type WORTHLESS newspaper. So, there, I saved you the trouble! Kudos! That is a very empathetic thing to do. I worry that some people may think that they need a shot every month. That could (?) backfire on them? I hope people are conscientious, but will they be? Or will it be like the rush to buy that horse worming medicine - ivermectin?

IN actual fact, the Times reported that the risk of hospitalization for vaccinated at 1 per 100.000

And while I know that YOU do not need it, and find it …whatever….

“The rate of hospitalization among the vaccinated was 1 per 100,000 people. The age-adjusted hospitalization rate in unvaccinated persons was 29.4 per 100,000.”

And forgive me for attaching a link to that..

What Vaccinated People Need to Know About Breakthrough Infections - The New York Times

And on the comment about the New York Times, which is understand you are not making, but repeating……

I have asked and asked for folks to show me proof of what they say about The NY Times……..never get any.

The assault on the Times has an pretty easy source if you are interested, and it always, the attacks, when someone does not like REAL FACTUAL news……I assume that most are smart enough to know i am not speaking to editorial comment, but reporting of news.

And the adjectives you used, which are pretty accurate go back many years and were always proven worthless then and still are. File it under…..”not really wanting truth but more interested in being made feel good” OR even “articles are too long and full of news”. BOTH of which I have read on this forum.

Sorry for supplying a link and a quote…….but you know some people do not tell the truth or bend it quite a bit.

There IS a very stringent test - a person MUST demonstrate the ability to walk and chew gum at the same time. This is, of course, a JOKE! But, it is funny because it is rather close to the REAL requirements. Please refer back to # 76

I am not sure what your problem is and I really don’t care. I posted the situation at the Barnstorm Theatre. What you posted has nothing to do with the facts that I posted. In the future, try to stay on point and not act like a jerk.

The Pandemic of the UNvaccinated. At least, now they can get treated. Makes one wonder about that famous quote from S. Weaver in the movie "Aliens", "has IQs dropped while I was gone?"

My question is - is anyone in the medical profession monitoring this, or does our info come from politicians and/or anecdotal testimonials? Who is keeping the stats?

Well, I hope it is NOT DR. Atlas.

I posted the facts. If you don’t like them then too bad. Nobody cares what you think. See post #1 for the actual topic of the thread.

I FULLY agree with the contents of this post !

I don’t believe there are any shortages of the vaccines around here. I know several people who received their 3rd shot without any issues. If your Dr. recommends the 3rd shot then you should seriously consider getting it. The shortages appear to be outside the US. You can’t impact that.

Just wanted to add more of Dr Faucci remarks, as I have been reminded that most do not care to read any links, so allow me to bore them a bit more in what Dr Faucci had to say...

“If he feels that vaccines are not important for people, that they are just important for some people, that’s completely incorrect,” Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day.”

“Vaccination ... has been the solution to every major public health issue in which a vaccine was developed for,” he continued. “I mean: smallpox, polio, measles. I’m not sure what people are talking about when they push back on vaccinations. It is historically, over decades and decades and decades, shown to be the way you control an infectious disease.”

I mean, obviously it’s important for you as an individual for your own personal protection, safety and health. But when you have a virus that’s circulating in the community and you are not vaccinated, you are part of the problem because you are allowing yourself to be a vehicle for the virus to be spreading to someone else.”

“It isn’t as if it stops with you. If that were the case, then it would be only about you. But it doesn’t,” he added. “You can get infected even if you get no symptoms or minimally symptomatic and then pass it on to someone who in fact might be very vulnerable ― an elderly person, a person with an underlying disease. So when you’re dealing with an outbreak of an infectious disease, it isn’t only about you. There is a societal responsibility that we all have.”

To those who are insulted by links to back up....that’s it.

I'm not saying to not have the clinics, but he's hardly beating the drum for vaccination while taking photo ops every time he opens one of these.

Kudos! Good perception and logic.
