Default Need answers re: a cardiologist referral

My other half and I have FL Blue and go to one of The Villages Health Clinic. I was recently given a referral (app't yet to be made) with a Dr. Nasser, Cardiologist with Advent Health. The referral was started by one of my specialists at The Brownwood Specialty Clinic. I don't want to know who YOUR favorite dr. is---I NEED to know if anyone here has seen Dr. Nasser and what their experience was. Apparently TVH Specialty Clinic only has two cardiologists and they must be swamped. I'm not familiar with Advent Health but know they have a hospital in Ocala. I currently don't have issues---or at least none that is bothering me BUT I don't really want to be seen in Ocala or treated there. I'll stick my neck out here to say we're happy with our providers here in The Villages so NOT sure why they're sending me to this guy.

You didn’t mention what specialist recommended the referral .
Did you have a cardiologist prior? If so you can ask from a professional that actually knows your history.

Sorry you missed it but re-read my post....I did mention his name! I didn't mention who referred me (NOT a specialist that matters to this) and no, I don't have a cardiologist.

Nope I read the cardiologist name. Also you Didn’t want any Opinions on their experience with their chosen Cardiologist. You didn’t mention if you had a cardiologist in your past, and just need one in this area, which is why I posted.

TOTV reaches a small amount of residents, since you have zero knowledge about the referral, you can search for the physician, practice, and facility’s on staff.

You can always take the appointment, make a decision, or ask the referring physician for another name. Or reach out to your insurance, sometimes they can be helpful.

I met with 3 cardiologist before I chose one that had experience with rare cardiac events. Then again I have 40 years of in person cardiac interactions, open heart, and some transplant experience. So I knew the exact questions to inquire for the betterment of my health.

What I wanted is this...."IF" anyone here had had experience with this dr. (Nasser). I do NOT have a cardiologist to answer that part of your question and yes, I KNOW, I can m ake my own decision upon seeing him. I did go online to see what I could see re: this dr. but the answers weren't enough for me. I always try to advocate for myself and don't make a blanket decision. Dr's aren gods and too many people rely on them deciding what's best. Years back I had some concerning symptoms and what I found out (mostly on my own but with the assistance (later) of a professional) that the symptoms were happening due to my thyroid meds. I was prescribed way too much.

Yes I do have knowledge, of Nasser. However because of lack of experience in rare cardiac events, it was not a good fit. My previous cardiologist, cardiac surgeon all agreed.
Doctors aren’t gods , comment It’s pretty funny over the years have been with many surgeons who thought their middle name was JC or God.

I love Dr Nasser. I don't have any special cardiac issues but you can talk to him and he treats you like a person.

If he doesn’t meet your needs I would recommend Dr Yelamanchi. He is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. He has an office in Lake Sumpter.

Default .Dr...MD

As a physician, I'm pretty selective in my choice for my Rx...Dr Nasser is MY Cardiologist...He is knowledgeable and communicates very well..He has office hours in The Villages each Friday. Otherwise Ocala...in my opinion, the BEST Physicians in OUR Area are in Ocala and/Orlando...otherwise I would go to The Cleveland Clinic(in Cleveland) where I trained for 5 years...just MY opinion , as a professional...SURGEON
