Dr. Kuhn has helped me with headaches, hip pain and lower back pain radiating down my leg. If it can be caused by misaligned spine, chiropractic can help. Sometimes you have a pain and don’t mentally connect to your spine so I have gotten into a habit of trying Dr. Kuhn before a specialist. If at the first visit he doesn’t feel anything, he’ll let you know. He has never cracked any part of me. He uses his hands or an activator. He’s a sole practitioner so I don’t worry about him leaving and my having to start with a new person.

There are many good Chiropractors! My niece and friend are excellent in their field and went to college for 8 years to become a Chiropractic Professional. They know when to xray, send to patient to the next correct medical or physical therapy doctor. Just like dentists, some are good and some are bad.

Chiropractors are real doctors. It depends if they studied pharmacology is one of the differences. Chiropractors have been recommended by many of my medical doctors that only deal with pharmacy medicine and refer you to a specialist. A good Chiropractor refer you to the correct specialist if their field of healthcare can't help you. They are recognized as part of the healthcare system just like dentists, orthopedics, etc.

Please start by seeing your doctor. Although it took several years to correct my hip issue, physical therapy was the solution. Nevertheless, it could be most anything and your doctor should be the first contact.

There is a major step to decide about chiropractors BEFORE you get down to the individual basis. There are about 10 different STYLES of chiropractors ranging from rough and harsh to smooth and gentle. I would suggest to Google the various styles and then find out which is best for you. Then, find out what style some of the local chiropractors are. And then pick an individual that uses the style that works for your wife.

I am NOT a medical professional, but, if it were me, I would check out which is more successful on average hip replacements or knee replacement. If I had to bet a dollar, I would put my money on knee replacements being more successful. Probably Mr. Google could clear that up.
........I hate to say this, but the average American is overweight and I have seen a lot of "big-boned" men and women jocks and ex-jocks limping around carrying too much weight for the sport they are trying to play. That is just a general statement and may not apply in some individual cases.
