Dr. Martinez-Cruz was a PCP working for a large practice for quite a few years. He left that practice and has now opened his own on Wedgewood Lane in the Dana Medical Center. The building is behind Bonefish Grill (on CR-466) and across Wedgewood, and since it's in TV, it's golf cart accessible! His office phone number is 352-750-6650. He accepts most insurance and even offers care at a flat rate for anyone who's uninsured.

It's rare—maybe nonexistent—in this area to find a physician like Dr. Cruz who had part of his training in Boston—one of the outstanding centers of medicine in the U.S.—was affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital, and was a lecturer at Harvard Medical School. He's extremely knowledgeable and a great listener! I agree with Quixote that we are indeed lucky to have Dr. Cruz in The Villages.
My husband and I both went to see him, and really appreciated his demeanor.
It's been a long time since I went to a doctor that I felt actually listened to me and didn't rush through my appointment.
If you are looking for a primary care physician, please consider Dr. Cruz.
