My visit related to an allergic skin condition. Dr. P. spent the first 15 minutes showing a clip from the movie "Something's Gotta Give" because he liked the scene that related to Viagra and a discussion of his experience at the Public Health Service. Next he spent 5 minutes looking at me and sending a prescription to my pharmacy. For the next 20 minutes it was back to talking about himself and his experience and a discussion of the patient who he had seen just before me. All I could do was wonder when this would end. Finally I attempted to interrupt his monologue to tell him that I thought I also had swollen glands in my neck. He cut me off in mid sentence and said, "At this point your appointment has ended. If you have any other problems, you can make another appointment to see me." I was stunned and told him so. He then said, "If you don't like it, you can find another doctor." And so I will and I strongly recommend that you do too. This man is arrogant, self-centered, and totally inappropriate in the way he treated me.
This was not my first visit with Dr. Paiano but it was definitely my last. I have had problems with his dismissive attitude before but this was the last straw. He is also extremely rude to his staff. I don't know why they tolerate it. He can seem very nice in the beginning but quickly turns from Dr. Paiano to Mr. Hyde. |

I used Dr. Paiano as my PC doc when I first arrived 7 years ago. sine then I use my cardio guy for almost everything.
Dr. Paiano left and went to Leesburg only to return about two years ago to The Villages. My wife upon his return engaged Dr. Paiano medical services. Neither my wife nor I had ever experienced what the OP reports. We found Dr. Paiano to be polite, decisive, cooperative and humorous I am sadden by this information and would like to hear Dr. Paiano's version of this appointment. I am not saying this OP version is true or untrue, only that fairness demands equal time. The OP has damaged this man's reputation. Perhaps it would have better had she held her opinion unless she came across a friend or neighbor who made an inquiry about doctor Paiano? IMHO a simple I changed doctors would be sufficient. |

check his reviews on Healthgrades and you will see similar comments.
Happy to give Dr. Paiano a chance to respond. He's aware of this forum and he is certainly free to respond. |
