Default Boil water order

I read about a "Boil water order" on The Villages twitter account yesterday. It made me wonder if everybody affected knows. How does this very important information get passed on to the residents? I would hope I wouldn't have to find it on twitter.

Looks like TOTV is not allowing my link from above to open. Here is the cut and paste:

A precautionary boil water order notice has been issued after a water main break near the Hacienda Hills Championship Golf Course.
As a result of the 10-inch water main break, the notice has been issued for the following addresses:
• 1200, 1203, 1193 Morse Boulevard
• 1000-1015, 1002-1024, 1101-1117, 1102-1120 San Antonio Lane
As a precaution, all water used for handwashing, drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, cooking, and washing dishes be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water be used for making ice. As an alternative, bottled water can be used.
This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and bacteriological tests show that the water is safe. This usually consists of a two-day sampling period to insure safe drinking water.
If you have any questions, you may contact District Utility Customer Service at 352-750-0000.

Sometimes I get emails about it, but I don't know how they decide who to send them to.

Well it is a negative piece of news so perhaps the developer did not want it in the paper?

Those sort of important & health related notices should be front & center on every site having to do with TV. This affects people's health & lives!

This is great, thanks for the link. But when I checked online to see which district Orange Blossom Village is in, it seems it doesn't belong to any according to the map I saw. I'll call them and find out.

So uninformed! I feel badly for you. I can't imagine living in a place I hate as much as you seem to hate this place. A water main break is a District issue not a Developer issue. As myself and others have said many times SIGN UP FOR NOTIFICATIONS.

If you are from NYC then you have seen water main breaks before. Same thing happens everywhere. If it effected you here, someone would have knocked on your door and told you. It didn't effect me or my neighborhood but I got an email notification because I care enough to have signed up to be notified. Suck it up and take some responsibility for your own well being.
