Guess I got my answer. Pretty infantile, IMHO.

Default 6-7 cases a day

Dr Patel does 6-7 cases a day, 4 days a week. He has office hrs on Wednesday.

He is also out of the office/hospital fairly often teaching or doing procedures elsewhere.

He is one busy man. He has devoted his career to perfecting these techniques.

After viewing another thread regarding Medicare coverage in The Advantage Plan vs. a Supplement plan. I will add that Dr Patel is covered in The Villages Medicare Advantage plan. That was a huge relief!!

Oops, I just went back and re read your post and see that you went to Florida Hospital.

Dottie, ditto to what everyone else said about your detailed report. I'm am glad to hear he is on the Medicare advantage plan, but I am curious what hospital he uses. I am on that plan and thought we could only use the villages hospital or Leesburg.

Blessings to you and your husband.

Dotti, I am so very happy for you and Bill. This is exactly the kind of doctor that all of us look for.

Sheldon was diagnosed with prostrate cancer twenty years ago, and put through most of the "old way" of doing things -- female hormones, radiation seed implants, etc. He still has issues due to those treatments. I am so glad to see doctors out there taking the quality of life issues seriously.

CONGRATS to you and your husband....Florida Hospital Celebration (or any other Florida Hospital) is where me and or my husband will ever go in the event of any surgery. We will never go to Leesburg Regional / TVRH (The Villages Health Alliance) for care NOR to a physician that performs surgery at either hospital...

Dottie,

Thanks for giving a lot of us hope if we face that issue. I am always concerned, my brother passed at 71. I also see Dr, Sher once a year
