Default The Fickle Finger Of Fate

Imagine you were unfortunate to have been born in the era of the Mayan and having a chance of being sacrificed to please the gods in order to improve yield grains. And if you were unfortunate to have a mental illness in the 1920's doctors performing a lobectomy...you get the point.

We are all victims of the experts and many of us live and die by what they say.

Experts now claim:

HIGH PROTIEN DIETS BAD FOR THE MIDDLE AGES, GOOD FOR THE ELDERLY

To me it was like the Catholic Church told their congregation that they were going to hell if they ate meat on Friday and then suddenly it wasn't a mortal sin any longer. so what happen to all my brothers and sisters who ate meat on Friday before it was OK?

If a person makes it to 65 then he/she can go hog wild eating beef, pork and chicken. and if they do what happens if the medical experts discover down the road, a likely event, that beef pork and chicken in high quantity are bad for everyone irrespective of age?

I have lived long enough to not to toss caution to the wind but pretty much ignored the silliness of so called experts. Its clear if you are actively listening to tell the difference between hype for profit sake and people who know the score. It is also important to understand that there are so many caveats that ought to appear with such studies.

We are all captives of the fickle finger of fate or experts who do not know what the heck their talking about

Most of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about!

I don't put too much stock in what they have to say as these studies are skwewered for certain results no matter how much the researchers protest.

As in Mrs Doubtfire told Sally Field that her husband died from drink.

Sally - Was he an alcoholic?

Mrs Doubtfire - "no, he was run over by a Guiness Ale truck".

If you don't get run over by a truck, I think a lot of it has to do with how well one takes care of themselves and genetics. IMHO

As Rhett so eloquently said, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." Getting truly old has never been on my bucket list. Living a life I enjoy has.
