Default Prostatectomy

Has anyone had a prostatectomy in the last year? If you feel you had a good surgeon and a good outcome, can you please share the surgeon's name and where you had the surgery?

Dr. Raymond Pak, Mayo Clinic in Jax. The whole staff and operations there are tip top.

Default Surgeon

My brother had that done robotically by Dr. Patel in Celebration (Advent Health) for minimal prostate cancer. He was referred to Dr. Patel by his doctor in another state. No complications, no chemo or radiation. He had it done 3 or 4 years ago.

I sent them my documents today. Unfortunately my urologist told me today that my cancer may have extended outside of the prostate so he has ordered a PET scan. If it has spread, he says radiation might be a better option for me than prostatectomy.
