Default Health care

I was rushing around a couple of weeks ago trying to finish packing for a trip and slipped on some water and broke my knee cap. I called the ambulance, from the villages, they took me to Leesburg hospital instead of TV. I got there, they X-rayed and my knee cap was broken in half. Then they came in to tell me there was no on call surgeon to help me. They tried to send me to The Villages hospital because there was an on call surgeon there. I spent 7 hours in the ER trying to get me to any UF hospital to do the surgery but not one would take me because the ambulance didn’t bring me in. They discharged me and told me to find an orthopedic surgeon. Thankfully, I’m from the area and have tons of local friends, one of whom knows lots of doctors so she called an ortho who took me but it was one week after the accident. I’m into my 2nd week now after the surgery and the pain is terrible. My point is, I’m now petrified to grow older here due to the lack of qualified medical staff. At one point UF was building a new training hospital in TV but due to some new laws, Doctors don’t want to train in this state, so they scrapped that plan.
