Default Dermatologist recommendation

We are newly arrived and need to find a good dermatologist. Looking at past threads on this subject the most recent is 2009. Does anyone have any recommendations for a dermatologist in the area? Thanks.

I wanted to resurrect this thread. Every time I get a name of a good dermatologist, they aren't accepting new patients.

Try Dr Bond on Buenos Aires. He has a great MOHS surgeon on staff.

Thumbs up Dermatologist Recommendation

My wife (a fair skinned Irish gal) and I use Florida Dermatoligic Surgery & Aesthetics Institute (right off CR 466) and are very satisfied with the care we receive. We recommend them.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Freeman.
For us he just didn't care and gave us less than a minute. Didn't have good office organization. Didn't help a bit. No follow-up. We called to say prescription didn't work. Called twice. No call back.

My husband just saw Dr. Corwin, phone # 352 873-7788; his office is in the Sharon Morse building next to the hospital. We liked him and his staff very much.

My I also add, I've had a couple of cut happy guys that when back here in Michigan my doc said no way did they have to do the cutting. Just be careful and find one that does not cut everytime you go in. Most can be taken care of by freezing especially if you get checked every six months. I know there are some exceptions but beware...

aj

p.s. been there and not nice...

My husband has had numerous MOHS surgeries by a specialist, like mentioned above there are many that will just cut. He went to a different dermatologist one time to take care of an area and the scar is huge. His MOHS operations have healed very well. Has anyone had Rosacea and have any recommendations for a dermatologist for Rosacea?
