Dr. Neustein, Ocala Surgery Associates. He did a complicated gall bladder surgery on my husband, so I figure if he could do that, he can do a hernia repair. But I imagine any of the surgeons in that practice would be good. Plus, the hospital was Munroe Regional which we like.

All the surgeons in that group are excellent. I had extensive complex surgery done by a doctor in that group and although I was very ill and not expected to live they pulled me through. I must say the nurses at Monroe regional played a big role in my recovery with their attentiveness,knowledgeable skill and encouragement. Monroe is just the best hospital.
Not one hospital personal failed to wash their hands when entering my room which contributes to Monroe's very low infection rate and spread of hospital bourne illness

Just had hernia done two weeks ago by Dr. Bundz. He has outstanding credentials and a professional staff. Also, you may call his office 24/7 after surgery. I checked out all the surgeons on Healthgrades > Find a Doctor | Doctor Reviews | Hospital Ratings and he had a 5 out of 5 rating.

Celia Nelson would definitely be my choice. I took care of many of her patients after surgery.

Dr. Nelson and Dr. Luk have offices in the Sharon Morse building as well as in Leesburg across the street from that hospital. Dr. Nelson came highly mentioned from my family doctor for cancer surgery. I was very pleased with her care of me.
