Have you considered the mayo clinic in Jacksonville FL? It's rating is higher than mass general. Mayo #1, cleavland clinic #2, mass general #3 in the nation.

There are companies that will pick someone up by stretcher and take them in a van cross country. I did it with my mom about 5 years ago because she couldn't sit cuz of a surgery. We traveled from Michigan to Florida and it wasn't extremely expensive.
